MISSION VIEJO, Calif., May 18, 2016—Chuck Lennon, president of TeamLogic IT, has been appointed Chairperson of the CompTIA Advisory Council on Policy (CACP). Lennon has served as both a board member and vice chair of CompTIA, the non-profit trade association serving as the voice of the information technology industry. He also was the chairman of the board for their philanthropic arm, Creating IT Futures Foundation.

The CACP is comprised of appointed volunteers from member companies within the IT Channel that wish to make a contribution to the discussion of policy and the way in which it impacts the IT industry and CompTIA membership. Its mission is to provide guidance and direction to the CompTIA Public Advocacy team on matters of importance to CompTIA membership and the IT industry as a whole. The CACP will work with staff to keep CompTIA membership informed and engaged on public advocacy issues and progress.

“Of all my affiliations with CompTIA I am most pleased to serve on this council to help drive policy for issues impacting the managed IT services industry as well as around other key technology topics such as security and privacy,” said Lennon.

As chair of CACP, Lennon will also sit on the Policy Executive Board (PXB), which is charged with serving as a governance body for CompTIA Public Advocacy activities.
